The Yellow hitmakers are to play a one-off gig in Dubai's luxurious Emirates Palace - earning a reported £1.4 million for just one night's work.
The concert will take place in front of 15,000 fans when the rockers complete their current world tour in August.
Gig promoter Elissa Murtaza says, "Coldplay's debut performance in the Middle East (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/middleeast.html) is set to attract one of the biggest attendances in the UAE. Regional fans of the band have waited a long time for this show and they won't be disappointed."
Other stars to have played at the venue include Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, Christina Aguilera (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/fc/christina-aguilera.html) and Sir Elton John.
