Meet Jazmine Sullivan – a protégé of Missy Elliott and championed by the likes of Stevie Wonder.

The talented newcomer has already taken the U.S by storm with a No.1 album and a whopping 5 Grammy nominations, after barely 10 months on the scene. Now she's here in the UK promoting her brand new single 'Dream Big' and new album 'Fearless'.
Jazmine was born on 9th April 1987 in Pennsylvania. Her mother remembers having a sense that the child she was carrying was born to sing and as a lover of jazz, she named her "Jazz"mine accordingly.
Jazmine's career:


Began singing at age of 5 in her local church choir.
Age 11 she made her television debut when she appeared on Showtime at the Apollo.
Began wowing audiences with live sets in her hometown of Philadelphia at the popular Black Lily, where Jill Scott began her career.
Sang with musical legend Stevie Wonder at 13 (at his grandson's birthday party).
Signed to Jive Records at age 15. Dropped before any recordings were released two years later.
Then worked behind the scenes with the likes of Missy Elliott and Christina Milian, providing tracks for her third album, 'So Amazin', including the hit single "Say I" (2006).
Signed personally by Clive Davis (who made stars of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys) to J Records.

Multi-talented Jazmine has been praised in American press for her distinctive vocal style and compared to the likes of Lauren Hill and Mary J Blige.

As the primary songwriter on her new album Fearless, she brings her own experiences and observations on life and love with vivid storytelling imagery to her songs.
Jazmine's new single, 'Dream Big' is out on 6^th April. The album 'Fearless' is out now.
