This album i feel is a classic, not yet in my head but you just know these things....Crimson And Clover gets my nod of approval:punk: i feel Prince should never had released these said 4 track's as i find it's tainting the whole experience:)

Up to now I have only listened to the album once, It's a dissapointment.
Fave track has to be Dreamer. Love the DIRTY guitars.
This has to be the worst album since The Rainbow Children. Overall I'm not immpressed. Sorry to say.

"Crimson & Clover" gets my vote... even though it's a cover he still manages to make it his own.

This is easily his best album since TRC. After the relative samey-ness of the last 3 studio releases Prince is back on the path of being bold and inventive thank God. Not quite there but it's a step in the right direction.

Great to see the return of some old friends on this record.

Psychadelic Jazz/Rock/Pop Fusion with a touch of funk and quirkyness, wit and clever thought provoking lyrics, flawless musicianship are just some of the ingredients that makes a brilliant Prince album... most of which I'm happy to say are present here :)

Have to disagree with "The One". TRC just didn't float my boat and is at the bottom of my list of Prince albums.

Anyway Lotus Flow3r is growing on me. But I still think there is two or three or four tracks that just don't do anything for me.

MPLSound is being played most at the mo'.:)

infinitely better than mplsound and i'm only track 4 of my first listen. i get the feeling this is going the way of emancipation; too much output in one go. im liking lotusflow3r so far but it's not exactly new is it? And i wouldn't call mplsound new, it just took some good elements of the old and mixed it with the stuff that didn't work from his more recent albums, ie TRC and Rave, and the uninspiring emancipation.
If any of it grows on me I will be the first to post a retraction, cant see it though...........

Eye simply love this album it's just so fresh and funky and varient! Complete 2 say the least...my favorite.
oh and about "The Morning After" that's not in the album! It only has 12 tracks where did that 1 come from?!

I loved Emancipation, Rave... wasn't too bad either. TRC was a duff album but these 2 discs have the ingredients that I have been waiting 4 4 a long time. MPLS Sound is the better of the 2. :music:
