<!-- google_ad_section_start --> Ironik has admitted that he is disappointed Prince refused to let him sample one of his songs.
The rapper had originally asked to use a sample of Prince's 1986 track 'Sometimes It Snows In April' on his new album but was forced to change his plans.
"I heard from my A&R agent that Prince wasn't happy with the idea and that the sample couldn't work," he told the Daily Star.
"I don't think he really likes people sampling his work, so what we did to get around the situation was re-make the sample and got someone else to sing it.
"It would have been good to have had him on the album as he's a talented person - but the new recording sounds great."
The star, real name Michael Laurence, was previously given permission (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a151258/sir-elton-calls-up-dj-ironik-to-praise-song.html) by Sir Elton John to sample his music on his new single 'Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer)' (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a152928/ironik-tiny-dancer-hold-me-closer.html).
