Watched it, and watched 102 minutes that changed America last night. That was a brilliant documentary, all footage filmed at the scene, telling the story of what happened. To this day I still find it hard to get my head around the fact it happened.

i didn't see the show, but i saw it happening live on the news on the day. as my workplace was relocating out of town and i choose not to go, i had the day off as there wasn't anything to do. i remember i just turned on the tv to have a quick check of the 1pm news and the first tower had just been hit, and they were showing live footage of it when the second plane hit. it was like a die hard movie was happening for real. i was glued to the news for the rest of the day, watching the events unfold, and i saw the towers collapse live on tv. i also remember mention of the third plane (the one they made the movies about) and for a while we expected that to crash into the towers too. we heard about the pentagon crash, and it was expected that another plane would crash into the white house
i remember i was in the org and probably npgmc chatrooms at the time, with people mentioning news articles they heard on tv in thier area, or on radio, as some people were at work, and we were checking websites like CNN for details, but they were struggling to cope under the workload
as the twin towers played such an important part in business, i thought it would have a serious affect on the worlds financial markets and create a huge recession, but that didn't happen until years later when the lehman bank collapsed
i also remember travelling to the states the day that war was officially announced. i was expecting it to happen, but didn't expect any trouble travelling over there. i had already been to the states a few times before and after 911 and seen the huge changes to airport security the first time i flew to mpls for xenophobia in june 2002. i remember in amsterdam airport seeing a huge part of the airport roped off as troops were boarding military planes. it also took a crazy amount of time to board the plane to the states due to increased security. later that year i was due to travel to the states again, but declined as it would have been the first anniversary of 911. fortunately nothing happened, but it was a risk i wasn't going to take
i've seen so many documentaries about the twin towers that i felt i didn't need to see another one, so skipped last nights show. i really don't think there was any conspiracy involved

It's even worse for me because I was IN the same state and feared of the end of all days that point. I was in 2nd grade at the time and had to be removed from school not knowing when the hell had happened.
For some reason, a lot of movies are being released on 911. Are they retarded? That's how Glitter got flopped.

i don't think the release date of glitter had a thing to do with it's success (or lack of it). it was just a cheesy movie. personally i loved it, its one of my favourite albums of hers, all the jam and lewis stuff and covers, and the film is clearly inspired by purple rain

I remember exactly what I was doing on 9/11/01. I had recently split with my Ex wife, and was living in Lancaster with a gilr I was seeing, had just been out to buy my lunch, and sat sorting out solicitors letters for my divorce, when the newsflash appeared, I was so shocked. We were due to fly out to America the following week, and at that point wondered if the flight would go ahead.
Needless to say we went, and whilst in in Florida, it was evident just how the Americans had been affected, by the lack of Americans travelling, and the amount of time we heard them say we cancelled our flight and drove.
