the sites were down for a period, the owner of the org didn't know it was down, and HQ took it down for maintenance as the site was running slow. this is mainly due to all the extra traffic recently with the new cd being announced, the london tix, and news about LA shows. when a number of tix go onsale for prince shows the main sites usually run slow or crash. HQ has removed the chatroom as that was affecting the speed of the site, so they have recommended the org and fams chatrooms. i presume most people will return to the org chat as it's been going for over 10 years and was the main/only prince chat for a long time, only being split when the npgmc chat started. in the last few years many other sites have popped up and added chats, splintering fans further, but as HQ have been more proactive about keeping the site up to date and free of stupid posts, it's went to strength to strength, so the chatroom was a hit when it opened, particularly as it ran the same software as npgmc

so no CONspiracy this time. fortunately this site hasn't suffered problems, and all the main/current/new news is posted very quickly, and the site is free from silly posts about prince's favorite food etc, so easy to navigate. there is also a chatroom on this site if you don't like the org
