According to the Daily Star, Chris said there was no way Coldplay could sell out as many dates as the diminutive groover Prince.

"He sold out 21 nights," said Chris - referring to Prince's concerts at London's O2 arena.

"I don't think we could. You can't do that unless you've got impeccable facial hair. With my facial hair we could probably sell out five nights," he joked.

He added that the huge screens which allow punters at the back to see the band gave the band a slight body complex.

"There's a little bit of fat on me. I could see on the screen. It adds love handles," Chris said.

How funny!!!!!!!! Eye mean that with an utmost sarcasm! That was just superficial what he said. How can he hope 2 rake in numbers like prince when he hasn't been around that long nor is he a phenomenon like Prince. Come on...

To be fair, Chris Martin is often incredibly self-depricating in interviews, and tends to make little nervous jokes a lot as well. The quotes about Prince are very much in keeping with his standard interview responses.
